Like I said last year (and the year before) - I'm very open when it comes to what I like and would like to read; cracky stuff is extra awesome though, and I really love silliness bunches! Smut is fun, if you can work it in, of course. The only things I really don't like are incest, underage smut, snuff, rape plots and unequal d/s dynamics.
I also have some crossover ideas in the crossover challenge!, some in the Yuleporn challenge, And some NSP ones in the Yulebuilding challenge!

I love this goofy movie so very much but I love the characters and their interplay even more.
1: What the hell happens when Jimmy and Chazz land after the movie ends? Was it a hallucination? What even occurred?
2: Brotherly bonding! This could be a missing scene or something that happens after the movie. What does a movie night look like with these two?
3: a Katie/Chazz/Jimmy committed poly situation, and all the weirdness that would entail.
4: Katie and Jimmy getting closer, him proposing or her proposing!
5: Chazz becoming a big brother figure to Katie and Jimmy's offspring, them forming an extended close-knit family since all they have is each other (this would be an ideal way to write Christmas fic for them!) Basically every found family trope ever, please.
6: Chazz and Jimmy's training process for the next World Winter Sports Games.
7: Katie being badass and assertive as an assistant, with Chazz as her biggest advocate on the team.

9: Ninja Brian backstory! We don't know anything about him, at least not as much as we know about Danny. What was he like when he was younger? What's he like in his off-hours? What's he like when he's doing something super-mundane? Do some world-building!
10: Brian has a vague idea as to how Brian and Danny met once upon a time (A backstory Dan doesn't even remember writing); There's also an animated short that was shown at the last string of Rock Hard Tour concerts that explores this idea. But what's your take? How did they meet?

These delightfully ridiculous, self-deluded yet awesome dudes rocking on have made my life so much better and I really, really want something that's as funny and fun as the movie, though angst wouldn't be unwelcome either!

1: David and Nigel slash; it's all but canon, that sexual tension is there. After-practice semi-hate-sex wallsex? Body worship? Drunken, miserable handjobs in the back of a bus? On the less sexual side: two old rocker dudes trying to deal with the shifting musical world and clinging to each other; tea and yoga; cuddling sessions. Soulmate AUS!
2: Spinal Tap deals with the viral music age. Do they have a poorly-managed Soundcloud filled with weird pastiche music that never gets off the ground? Is their Youtube mostly David pontificating about the world at large while Nigel gives impractical tuning tips for impractical musical instruments while Derek does his thing in the background?
3: Janine. Poor, poor ambitious Janine. She is in way, way over her head for most of the movie but she mostly keeps it together until the amusement park amphitheater disaster. What the heck made her decide to manipulate the out-of-touch David into doing her bidding? What are her ultimate goals in life? What does happiness look like to her, down the line? Does she try to manage other acts after her failure? Does she manage to claw her way up to the top?
4: Janine/Nigel/David hatesex or soulmates or A/B/O or negotiated v-shaped poly messiness. Make it messy! Have fun with it! How would the three of them even work together as a committed unit?!
5: Spinal Tap's slow, slow slide back to where they were or their rocketing further up the charts from their Japanese success. What does it look like? What are some of their songs? Do they have to share a bill with the Ramones? Do they cope and thrive no matter where they land this time?
6: David and Nigel are followed around on the eve of their wedding by Janine's son with Marty, an ambitious filmmaker whose documentary roots are less Marty Scorsese than Werner Herzog.
7: Tap hosts a telethon. What do you mean no one watches telethons anymore?!
8: David and Nigel's songwriting process. Is it a mess? Who comes up with the titles, who comes up with the melody? Do they achieve greatness? How much booze and drugs are involved, or are there not enough of either?
9: David tries to write a novel. It...happens. What's it about, and do any of the characters resemble Janine or his bandmembers?
10: Janine and David get back together. Nigel pines. And everywhere, there is bad sushi. Can this unresolved tension be solved?!

I'm kind of delighted that this fandom's been nominated, because the banter between Doug and Mike is off the charts and the movie gives us lots of meat to play with! But please, no bashing or killing off of Susan!

2: Survivor's guilt and all of its attendant troubles. Maybe they meet at a support group meeting? Maybe Mike feels ridiculous, like there's nothing really wrong, but he's been having nightmares for months and Doug's the only one who can calm him down from them?
3: Mike and Doug building their fireproof skyscraper, with all of the attendant frustrations and rewards. What do they fight about and what do they agree upon?
4: Grief sex.
5: Mike's first fire after the Glass Tower fire.
6: Doug's first building after the Glass Tower fire; how does he deal with the anxiety? Does he have any? Does his design come through?
7: What made Doug want to be an architect? What made Mike want to be a fireman?
8: They meet doing something entirely unrelated to their jobs at a surprising shared hobby. Maybe they both play chess? Maybe they both bowl? Maybe they both have a secret affection for musical theater?
